At the end of last year, the great minds of Butcher & Pantry and Ascutney Outdoors came together to plot and plan for a winter series of pop-up events on the mountain: Slopeside Cookouts. We were so excited to have afternoons of skiing, tubing, grilling, and chilling up on the snowy mountainside. The first of these events was initially going to be New Year’s Eve, and the second was going to be this Saturday…

…but the weather has had other plans. It has been a rainy start to the season, so there isn’t much to ski on - but we still want to have fun with Ascutney Outdoors, so we’re bringing the party to the Butcher & Pantry! On Saturday, from 12-4PM, we’re putting on a bunch of specials to raise money for everything that Ascutney Outdoors does.

The regular menu will be available, as well as some killer specials like:

• Pulled Pork Nachos

• Our House Hot-Link Chili Dog

• Crispy Tempura Shrimp Sticks

• A Brisket Burger, and

• Curry Fries with Lime & Paneer.

We’re also going to be pouring ‘This One’s For Jesse’ (our collaboration beer with Upper Pass) on draft, and making some hot mulled wine to keep everyone toasty warm.

15% of all food sales will be donated to Ascutney Outdoors, and they will be set up with their winter gear available to buy for a (hopeful) snowy rest of the season. To top it off, we’re going to be raffling off some of OUR swag, with proceeds going to Ascutney Outdoors too.
